Setup and Experiment
Instructions for
Fixed Device: Android
Mobile Device: iPhone/iPad
Overview of Tasks:
1. Install and setup the android app on the fixed device
2. Install and setup the iOS app on the mobile device
3. Perform the experiments as per the instructions in
the video attached towards the end
Download .apk file (download link,
alternately scan the QR code above)
Tap “Install
Android App Installation (1)
Tap “Allow from this source” if you are
installing via the QR code, otherwise
continue ahead
Android App Installation (2)
Tap “Install Anyway” and “Don’t
Send” in the subsequent window
Android App Installation (3)
Continue to “Open” the app.

Open the app you’ve just installed.
Grant the required permissions and turn
bluetooth on
Tap “Use Your Phone As Fixed Device
Set up Fixed Device (1)
Toggle the switch to begin transmitting
Set up fixed device (2)
Take note of device name and generated
QR Code. This will be scanned after
experiments are done (not now)

Before you start make sure your phone is updated to
iOS 13.4.1 Software.
Download Testflight from App Store. (Download
Link)
Open this Link in Testflight:

Or equivalently scan the QR code on the top
Tap Install and Open the app
iOS App Installation (2)
Set up Mobile Device (1)
Install the app as per earlier instructions on
your mobile iOS device.
Open the app and grant access to the
permissions required
Turn on your Bluetooth
Tap “Use your Phone as Mobile Device
Select your fixed android device name from the
screen. The device name would be the name
which showed up while setting up your fixed
device
Please follow in-app instructions to complete the
experiments or see video in the next slide for any
clarifications.

Troubleshooting and
Uninstalling the app
After the 4 experiments have been completed,
you can go ahead and uninstall the app.
